At Selsun blue®, we’re doing everything we can to take better care of the environment. So we partnered with TerraCycle® to create a free nationwide recycling program for used bottles.

TerraCycle’s mission is Eliminating the Idea of Waste®. TerraCycle accepts items that are typically hard to recycle. We created this partnership to provide an easy and free way for you to recycle old product containers.
How It Works
1. REGISTER
Fill out the form below. Participating in this program is easy and FREE!
2. COLLECT
When your product runs out, collect your empty bottles in a sturdy box suitable for shipping.
3. SHIP
When your box is full, use your TerraCycle account to print the FREE shipping label and ship via UPS
4. RECYCLE
TerraCycle will recycle your old containers and use them to make picnic tables, park benches, and more.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
You can recycle all empty Selsun blue® bottles and caps. Containers don’t need to be rinsed or cleaned, but please try to remove as much product as possible.
You do not need to clean or rinse the containers before sending to TerraCycle, but please try to remove as much remaining product as possible to ensure your items are dry. TerraCycle also encourages you to ship your box when it is full of items to minimize the transportation carbon footprint.
TIP: Collect empties from friends and family who also use our products, then ship them back in the same box. It’s another way to minimize the carbon footprint.
Nope. We cover the cost of shipping, and TerraCycle takes care of the rest. Just use the free shipping label provided in your TerraCycle account.
Once collected, the containers are cleaned and melted into hard plastic. This plastic can then be remolded to make new recycled products, such as park benches and picnic tables.
